Five Star Fun is modern and exciting play and party centre located just 5km from 8 Gables in the village of Grange. Facilities at the centre include a large modern play frame, astra slide, balance beam, drop slide, climb tube, spiral slide, rock conveyor and climbers web to name but a few. Opening hours are Thursday to Monday from 10am to 6pm and booking is not essential but is advisable.
Relax in Grandma’s Coffee Shop with a tea or coffee and sample our delicious range of home cooked foods while the kids play. You can even browse the web with complimentary high speed wifi.

Eagle’s Flying
Eagle’s Flying and The Irish Raptor Research Centre is a scientifically managed sanctuary for Birds of Prey and Owls, situated on the outskirts of the village of Ballymote, just off the main Sligo to Galway road approximately 40km from 8 Gables.
Set on 27 hectares, the sanctuary is home to about 350 birds and 75 species of animals. Established in 1999 the centre was originally set up for research purposes only, but as a consequence of increasing interest and local awareness, it was decided to open parts of the centre to visitors.
The Eagles Flying Show is both fun and educational for the whole family. The scientists on hand present information on each of the birds and raptors in general and if you ever had a question about a bird of prey, all you have to do is ask.

Gilligan’s World
Gilligan’s World enchanted Faerie Gardens and Spiritual Sanctuary is located in Knocknashee, approximately 40km from 8 Gables on the main Sligo to Galway road. The aim at Gillighan’s World is to make your visit to the The Field Of Dreams as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. In addition to the beautiful botannical gardens and spiritual faerie land there are are delightful picnic areas nestled around the park. What could be more enriching and nourishing than to feast by the fairy lake, on a plateau at the foot of Knocknashee – The Hill of the Fairies.
No need to worry if you don’t bring a picnic as they have the Rainbow Tea Rooms where you can enjoy a bowl of soup, freshly made sandwich, hot scone, cake or pastry, and there’s plenty of chocolate bars, crisps and sweets to choose from. It’s a simple but homely tea/coffee shop for those who simply want a snack.
Gillighan’s World is open from May to the end of August and opening days vary depending on the month.
